Active Server Pages
ASP (Active Server Pages) is enabled on
all of our Windows NT web servers. ASP can be used to create,
complex, consumer oriented web applications such as shopping
carts and personnel oriented databases. This is usually accomplished
in conjunction with MS Access and MS SQL Server.
You've probably already noticed that most
of the pages on this web site have the .asp extension. HOSTSIAM
extensive experience in both hosting and developing ASP based
sites ensures your active site stays active. Our servers are
tuned and built to withstand ASP's demands.

Wireless
Application Protocol (WAP)
Wireless Application Protocol (WAP)
provides a universal open standard for bringing Internet content
and advanced Value Added Services to mobile phones and other
wireless devices. It is the platform for the new generation
of "media phones".
As a result, WAP provides a wide range of wireless services
which are independent of the underlying digital wireless network
technology. WAP will enable users of mobile phones supporting
the protocol to have access to information and transactional
services, such as restaurant and hotel information, stock
trading, banking services, directory services, exchange rates,
flight schedules, and train and bus timetables.
The mobile phone is going to be the universal personal interface
to information. By coding your own WAP pages, you can tailor
company-specific applications, adding tremendous value to
your everyday operations. The only limitation is your imagination.
A large portion of the mobile phones sold
in the world next year will be WAP equipped, and these phones
will require secure connections to corporate networks. Now
is the time to grasp this opportunity.
Perl Support
Perl for Win32 is ActiveState's port of
most of the functionality found in Perl, with the addition
of extra Win32 API specific calls that allow you to take advantage
of Windows specific functionality.
Personal cgi-bin Directory
CGI Applications may be run within your
site via placement in the cgi-bin directory that is pre-installed
on every site. This is not a shared directory on the web server.
It is a private directory for use with only your web site.
MS Index Server
Index Server is a powerful search engine
for Internet Information Server. Many clients find this feature
very useful for sites containing lots of information. Microsoft
FrontPage supports Index Server when using the built in search
component wizards. You can request to have your web site indexed
at any time by special request.
MS
Transaction Server
Microsoft Transaction Server combines the
flexibility and low-costs of desktop applications with the
mission critical transaction processing features normally
found in high-end mainframe systems. Microsoft Transaction
Server is a component-based transaction processing system
for developing, deploying, and managing high performance,
scalable, and robust enterprise, Internet and intranet server
applications. Transaction Server defines an application programming
model for developing distributed, component-based applications.
It also provides a run-time infrastructure for deploying and
managing these applications.
You can have components registered on Microsoft
Transaction Server by special request. You must allow
our technicians to review your components before they are
registered.
