AspEncrypt 1.1 is an active server component that provides file encryption and digital-signature functionality, S/MIME-based secure mail support and X.509 certificate management capabilities. This component can be used in an IIS/ASP or VB environment.

AspEncrypt is a powerful tool which will help your application perform complex cryptographic tasks in just a few lines of code, such as:

• Encrypt and decrypt files and messages using industry-standard ciphers such as RC2 or DES.
• Generate and manage password-derived and random cryptographic keys.
• Calculate one-way hash functions of files and messages.
• Generate and validate RSA digital signatures.
• Issue and manage X.509 digital certificates.
• Create and manage certificate stores.

When used in conjunction with the AspEmail mail component, AspEncrypt will help you generate secure email in the widely supported S/MIME format using the PKCS#7 Public Key Cryptography Standard.

AspEncrypt can be used in conjunction with AspUpload, the industry-standard file upload component, to make your web-based file management system truly secure.

ASPLogin 2000 is a user management and login package which allows you to maintain a database of users, groups and passwords in any ODBC data source. ASPLogin 2000 uses security information hard-coded in ASP documents so your site is portable from server-to-server.

Microsoft Internet Information Server includes various ASP components that are pre-installed on every web server. Below is a listing of each component with a brief description.

- Ad Rotator Component
The Ad Rotator component creates an Ad Rotator object that automates the rotation of advertisement images on a Web page. Each time a user opens or reloads the Web page, the Ad Rotator component displays a new advertisement based on the information you specify in a Rotator Schedule File.

- NewMail Object (CDONTS Library)
The NewMail object provides for sending a message with very few lines of code.

- File Access Component
The File Access component exposes methods and properties you can use to access a computer's file sytem. You can use the File Access Component to create a FileSystemObject object which provides the methods properties and collections you use to access the file system.

- Browser Capabilities Component
The Browser Capabilities component creates a BrowserType object that provides your scripts with a description of the capabilities of the client's Web browser.

- Database Access Component
The Database Access component uses ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) to access information stored in a database or other tabular data structure.

We can register 3rd party or custom components by special request. Since certain components can cause major security and stability problems on our servers, they must all be approved prior to installation.

To request for a component to be registered, please send an email to support@hostsiam.com with your account information and specific details about the component. If we approve the component, we will install it in MTS or with regsvr32.exe. If we are installing a custom component, it should be fully debugged and tested before it is submitted to us. If any component is found to compromise the system, it will be removed. There is a $25 setup fee for each registration and you must be on Plan 2 or above. The component must not be in a setup package. We will not run setup programs on our servers in order to install components due to the fact that they sometimes overwrite newer DLL's.
